Key Topics in the Dubai Theory Test
All topics below are from the official Dubai RTA driving handbook. Click any topic to start the relevant mock test.
Speed & Stopping Distance
Dubai has different speed limits for urban roads and highways. The handbook specifies exact stopping distances at each speed — these appear in the theory test.
Roundabouts
Roundabouts travel in an anti-clockwise direction in Dubai. Lane selection and indicator use at roundabouts are heavily tested topics in the theory exam.
Fog & Floods in Dubai
Dubai-specific weather hazards appear regularly in the theory test. The handbook dedicates full sections to fog and flooding rules unique to Dubai.
Salik Toll System
Salik is Dubai's electronic free-flow toll system — tested in the Dubai theory exam. Only Dubai has Salik; Abu Dhabi has a different system.
Freeway Rules
Dubai has major "E" (Emirates) freeways. The handbook lists strict freeway rules — some of which only apply on freeways, not urban roads.
Fines & Black Points
The official Dubai RTA handbook lists 150 traffic violations with exact fines and black points. These appear directly in the theory test.
